Cuddeback Digital Trail Cameras
I recently tested a model with 3.0 Megapixel Digital Trail Camera Cuddeback. I was very excited to have it's going to see what he could do, so I went straight home and began to create.
For the most part set-up was fairly easy. I was expecting the camera will take the C-size batteries like most, but requires more cells D. After raiding a few flashlights that had the power needed. I started taking a few photos with the hope that I would be able to get a quick look at the quality of the images that the camera forever. I took some pictures and I realized I had no way to view images. This extinguished my enthusiasm a bit. The camera has no screen to view images and that does not come with a USB cable for downloading to a computer. I did not have time to go to the store that day so the next day was underway to find an SD card that could be used to store the image and then put them on your computer. You can also purchase a spectator, but had to have an SD card anyway so I took that path. I really not a camera with a screen on it, but it is an entry level camera so I guess to keep costs down is not included. The camera's internal memory is not very large and can not store enough images for use in the field to keep in mind that you will be buying a SD card to use this camera effectively no matter what. The internal memory lets you store only low resolution photos so do not bother with this option. You will not get the best from the camera and have the convenience of increased capacity.
How it was created in the field
There are two ways to configure the camera to a tree Cuddeback. I do not I'm a big fan of either of them. The first option is to screw the camera on the tree. For some reason I do not trust this, since I'm not sure how keep the tree height, and do not want to carry around my bag of tools to make some photographs of the field. What if I forget the bag of tools, when I go to take the camera down? The second option is a strap that is included with the camera. This seems to be a little better, but the bungee cords could probably work better than either of the options. There is a security option to lock the case for any of these methods can be a bit safer, but the lock is not included with the camera. That's part of the course. At least you have the ability to get some security if you feel you need. It would be nice if you had a way of setting a more serious cable to the unit, but for this model will have to go with one of the options and take your chances.
In general, I'm happy with the performance for the money payment, just be aware that you will need to make an additional purchase of a few seconds to get the most performance.
