Golf history: Where did it originate?
You're sitting in another kind of boring college history. When you open your mouth wide to yawn, the instructor finishes telling the class what will be discussed today:
The history of golf.
Suddenly, you sit up in his chair in perfect attendance. His eyes are wide open, and the pen is on their role to start taking notes.
Let's start.
It all started with a simple stick and a rock. The man took these two items and decided to create a form of entertainment. After all, what else could do for fun before the 15 th century that do not involve beheadings and fighting wars? Although the game of golf began on a stick man holding a stone to push in a certain direction, this was the way that many current sports games began. Almost any place or country where you could find a stick and a stone you can find golf, baseball, tennis, lacrosse or hockey!
As expected, however, when a great game like golf was invented, EVERYONE wanted say that was the idea of their country. For example, the country of Scotland says it invented the game. But then again, so does Italy, China, England, France, Holland, Belgium and distant countries in Asia. Games that resembled golf in other countries including "Pagan in Italy. This was a game that involved using a stick and a stone to hit a target. In Scotland, the same game called 'shinty. In the country of Laos, called 'KHI, and in China it was called' ch'ui wan ', which translates to "hitting a ball."
Some of these games were played before the year 300 BC C. – To be able to determine exactly where it started would be almost impossible! Historians have only one answer as to who invented golf, just do not know! Golf can be one of those games it was so big, so many people liked to try, I really had no home. Born when the Earth was born, and is universal in its popularity!
A thing that sways popular belief to accept that the modern game of golf began in Scotland is the fact that the hole was first used here. And today, as you know, no holes, no golf course. It is believed that rabbits, often their homes and play areas along the Scottish coast inside these holes. After a while, some people began to play with sticks and stones, trying to get the rock in the rabbit. This began the modern game of golf. It became so popular in Scotland, such James II banned it on Sundays to bring focus back on another sport – archery.
Over the centuries, golf has become increasingly popular worldwide. Although no one knows where the game was actually born, we all know one thing – most people enjoy playing!
