Archery Equipment – Tips rage
After reading many positive experiences of people who have used rage broadheads, I decided to give a chance this season and have been very impressed so far.
Upon receiving the two packages I ordered, I installed the tip of practice included heads with each package. The arrow flew perfectly with my field tips at distances up to forty meters. Practice heads look like the real heads themselves, but the leaves do not open which ensures easy removal of your goal. I shot in a white bag and heads were removed easily after firing. I hesitate to use the practice of the head in a 3-D or foam target for fear that really take some pieces of it and reduce lifetime of use.
Head weighed to check the consistency of the grain and found to be relatively close. The interval between the heaviest and lightest 6 heads was only 1.9 grains. These leaves are easily trapped in place when the leaves are bent and click on the rubber O-rings that come with them. The buyer also comes with 3 replacement O-rings.
My first experience with the real head was last week when a couple walked into an oak ridge. Both shots were at a distance of 30 meters. The range first slightly quartering away shot and the second was perfectly side. Neither traveled and left notable traces of blood that made for easy tracking, even in the dim light of the overcast morning. After recovery of the arrows, the leaves were still intact and could probably be resharpened for later use, but rage now offers replacement blades for the head. The blood trail started in 5 yards of the location of the shot. It looked like someone took a glass and threw red paint on the road. I have seen great signs of blood in the past archery kills, but they overcame them all.
The entrance and exit gate 2 rabies were created very impressive. With a cutting diameter of 2.5 inches, had two huge holes in the two deer. In the female first, both lungs were completely gone, and the second almost had cut the heart in two. Neither shot was affected by the ribs when he entered the deer. Due to the design of the head, a hunter must be aware shot placement. Hitting the shoulder bone greatly decrease the penetration, but that's a problem with almost all the heads on the market. Both vaccines are easily passed through from a 63 lbs. Switchback and 380 grain arrow. I'm excited to see the injury impending creation of these heads!
