bow hunting nc

i live in the most northern part of sc, and occasionally spend my time in southern nc, what kind of tree in my area would be the most durable and flexible to make a good enough bow to hunt with if i wanted, i want to make it practical and able to kill a deer.
You want to use Ash or Yew. I don’t think those grow around here very commonly(i live on the NC/SC border as well) but you should be able to get a decent piece from a lumber supply company.
