Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger pushed the envelope for traditional role-playing games by introducing time travel as an important aspect of the game and present the elements that appealed to adults and children, why Chrono Trigger became the great classic it is today. Add colorful graphics, a possible thirteen varieties of endings, and a wide range of different character array and has a game that many people still play today.

Breath of Fire II

The sequel to the Breath of Fire series makes the list because it is much more in depth with character arguments. Ryu the main character loses his parents at an early age and teams up with the bow dog. Together, they join the Rangers and doing work for peanuts. The story is complicated and the bow has to hide, while Ryu embarks on his quest.

Secret of Mana

This game takes the monotony out of the turn-based battles in real time making them. The enemies on the screen and you can battle without changing screens and take turns. The main character is the oxidized sword of mana-old sealed his fate and his role as the murderer of evil threatening the world awaken. The variety of weapons at your disposal to make battles more interesting, although the inventory screen takes some getting used to.

Secret of Evermore

This role play is fairly close to Secret of Mana, apparently, the battles are real time and dungeons in order to defeat a big boss monster. The dog changes according to the configuration: the first level is a stage prehistoric, so that your dog is like a big wolf, and later in a futuristic level, your dog becomes a machine that shoots laser beams.

Final Fantasy III

This game series was a huge leap in graphics, the games before it had small, shaped characters wierdly and the world was much less detailed. FF3 not only brought great detail to the cities and surrounding areas, but also many more players than we were accustomed. Figures such as cyan, Saban, Setzer, and Shadow all had a unique background story that converged on the quest to defeat Kafka.

Lufia II: Rise of the Sinstrels

Lufia II is actually a prequel to Lufia game before. The first starts off as Lufia Maxim and his companions fight against the four Lufia II sintrels and leads him to play in history as the hero Maxim. This is your standard RPG turn-based battles, cities, dungeons, and not to run.

Super Mario RPG

Probably my favorite game with the word Mario in it, Super Mario RPG Mario game is side-scrolling platform we're used to and sticks him in a role play, and it works. The graphics are impressive for the time, the world is colorful and vibrant, like Mario World is supposed to be. During play, familiar characters will join your team, as Bowser and Peach, along with some new faces as Mallow and Geno.
