Sports in India – the sole determinant of the results

Sports commonly refer to activities where the physical capabilities competition are the sole determinant of results. In early India, sports in India were very concerned about the development of the constitution and the arts the offense and defense. Along with recreation, sports played a vital role in the development of the personality of a man. Important among them a variety of games including board games, music, dinging and dancing, wrestling, outdoor sports like fishing and boating, car racing, archery, etc.

But now the popular sport in India include Cricket, Soccer, field hockey, lawn tennis, chess, boxing, gymnastics, sailing, Squash, Volley Ball, billiards and snooker, Polo, Kabaddi, formula one, and rifle shooting. Although field hockey is the national sport of India, Cricket is the most popular sport in the country.

By far the majority India is cricket popular sport these days. Has contributed to many players in the game as Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Mahinder Singh, Tendulakar Sachin, Sourav Ganguli, Rahul Dravid, Mahinder Singh Dhoni, etc. The board of Indian Cricket is run by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). There are two major national tournaments in India, ie, the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy. However, that is, recently, Twenty20 leagues have started, the Indian Premier League and Indian Cricket by India.

While Cricket has exceeded by far, hockey in popularity, hockey still strikes an emotional chord, especially with the older generation. Similarly, soccer is a major sport in India. Although it was introduced during the British occupation, in some areas of the country is popular than Cricket.

Sports in India is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively. A wide variety of sports has become an important part of Indian culture. In this, industrialization has brought increased leisure time to the Indians, what more time to attend and follow Mass sports participation in the activities and the growing enthusiasm.
