What is Martial Art? Now a day people are using it to fight, but it was made for sports and entertainment people.
The martial arts were divided into many groups on strike, history and weaponry. The Grappling martial arts around the world is complex. Most groups of people have had to physically defend themselves at some point and control techniques have been developed for this purpose. Development of many martial arts was related to military development, but many of these techniques have become technologically obsolete over the centuries. In modern times, most people would be more likely to face opponents armed with firearms than melee weapons in battle. Moreover, the preservation of a martial art requires many years of education in the hands of a good instructor to convey the art of a single generation. Given these circumstances, not all martial arts of a particular age, have transmitted to subsequent generations.
The teaching of martial arts in Asia has historically followed the cultural traditions of teacher-pupil learning. The Students are trained in a strictly hierarchical system of a master instructor: Sifu in Cantonese, Shih-fu (Wade-Giles), Shi Fu (Pinyin) (literally, master-father) Mandarin; guru in Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu and Malay, Japanese Sensei, Sa Bum Nim in Korean; Gurukkal Kallari in Malayalam, Tamil Asaan and Achan in Thai. The Western interests in East Asian martial arts dates back to late 19 century AD, due to increased trade between the United States with China and Japan. Relatively few Westerners actually practiced the arts, taking into account that is a mere performance. Many of the early demonstrations of martial arts in the West were performed by Asians in vaudeville shows, which served to further reinforce the perception of martial arts as dramatic performance.Judo Tae Kwon Do, and as western archery, boxing, javelin, wrestling and fencing are currently events in the Summer Olympics. Chinese wushu recently failed in its attempt be included, but is still active in tournaments held around the world. Professionals in some arts such as kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu often train sports matches, while in other arts such as Aikido and Wing Chun in general disregard those contests. Some schools believe that competition breeds better and more professional efficient, and gives a sense of sportsmanship. Others believe that the rules under which competition takes place have diminished the combat effectiveness of martial arts or encourage a type of practice that focuses on winning trophies rather than the more traditional approach and the development of the person of Confucius, which promotes humility (see Confucianism.)

As part of the answer to the martial arts, sport, new forms of competition are taking place, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the U.S. or pancreatic and the pride of Japan, also known as mixed martial arts (or MMA) events. The original UFC was fought in very few rules allowing all martial arts styles to enter and will not be limited by the set of rules.
Over time, the number of martial arts has grown and multiplied, with hundreds and thousands of schools and organizations around the world working towards a variety of objectives and practice a variety of styles.
