Hello, I'm moving to the snow and want to build a fixie Mountin. Since there are not many of these around, I'll have to create one myself. I wondered if I could fix the rear wheel without having to rebuild. Or maybe there is a webshop which sells fixed rear wheels. There are also special schools to special needs a bicycle mountain? All other tips, reviews, rants, raves ….? Many thanks.
The cheapest way is to remove the rear freewheel and derailleurs therefore, fit a unique piece respaced the shaft and has redish the rear wheel in a cycle shop. You also have to replace one or shorten the chain. Use the original bottom bracket, though obviously only be able to use one of the rings – probably average a triple.
