As much as we like to believe that our service members from the Air Force enlistment to patriotic duty in mind, the benefits of the Air Force offers plays a large role. The military offers many attractions for those who want to enlist in the Air Force. They want their airmen and women have the best and to be the best. They believe the Air Force enlistment benefits of a bonus to serving our great country.
One of the first things come to mind is the benefit of a job. Air Force not only provide employment to many young men and women, but offers the best training to learn the job skills that will be needed. For any work offered, there is a school and training available. There are jobs in many fields. Many equate to civilian jobs as well. Those who have to do with airplanes, airplanes and helicopters that are expected, but there are many available in medical engineering, and staff ground control.
Another benefit is paid. The Air Force offers a very competitive salary. Each flyer qualify for base pay by rank and time in service. Then there are different pay, which may qualify. If you have a family and live off base they are entitled to pay for housing. This payment is dependent on rank and where they are stationed. If they do not eat at the dining facilities are given to pay for food. There are enlistment bonuses, payment of deployment and family separation pay. Some of these benefits also not subject to, which is also a benefit.
Many of the benefits of getting the education they provide. The GI bill is a motivation big. For those who serve and participate in the requirements for the GI Bill, which will receive money for college once they are no longer in active service. Some of the benefits of the different GI Bills are available to those who are still on active duty. The latest GI bill, post 9-11, offers the possibility of transferring these benefits to qualified dependents such as children and spouses.
Tuition assistance, Dantes testing and other programs are available for those who are on active duty. Most Air Force bases have an education office. Here the active duty may enroll for classes and be advised on their educational goals. If applied to themselves through classes, rehearsals and training credit for the Air Force, many may leave the active duty with a degree in hand.
Health insurance is covered. This includes dental and vision. Those in the AF can be viewed and treated in any facility military. No co-payment or monthly fee. For the member on active duty, is a benefit provided. For dependents that is true, so in most circumstances. For a small monthly fee dependent may also qualify for a dental plan.
For those seeking the path and making the Air Force a career, there is a 20 year retirement. After 20 years of service, a pilot may retire. Then entitled to retirement benefits. These include health, pay and other incentives. It is one of the few jobs where it may occur retirement at age 38. The pilot is free to pursue a civilian job. Also qualify for preference of any Department of Defense job.
