The two units: TAG (West) and TAG (East), each protecting a different geographical area National Australia. TAG East has been the primary response to domestic counter-terrorism in Western Australia while TAG is primarily responsible for recovery operations at sea, such as access to ships or oil platforms incidents, etc and also international / Incidents abroad. TAG East calls its members of 4th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (Commando), supplemented by a small number of experts SASR component personnel and Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diving Teams.The Royal Australian Navy has an operations officer, a Clearance Diver (CD) of the bunch assault, a maritime sniper team CD, and a submarine Medic. TAG west on the other hand draws its members from the Australian Special Air Service Regiment and turn a squad through the paper for a predetermined period of time.
