archery beginning

I've been interested in archery for a long time, I tried it once and loved it. I'll join an archery club soon, so of course I need a bow. I want something simple, obviously. This is going to be corny, but the reason I am interested in archery because I'm a big fan of history and bow and arrow was a skill much used in all of history. Therefore, something that modern, uncomplicated, but strong. Thanks for your ideas! Do not even know where to start! Thanks guys for your answers! I appreciate that.
I shot archery in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) myself, so I understand what to expect from. Stay away from compound bows Recurve Bows and head (at least initially) – which allows you to strengthen your muscles, develop an eye shooters / position / Movement, avoiding bad habits, and can accommodate left or right handed archers (you can find after a time you prefer shooting with the opposite hand!) Start with a light recurve … under 30 #. This lets you shoot all day and develop their skills. I think the shooting accuracy make one for less than $ 50. In addition, joining the Archery Club will be a great help … exploit this wealth of experience and knowledge!
