Taking a Staycation ecological saving money (housewife on vacation)
Here is a vacation idea that will not break the bank. It will give your many good memories of family and well-deserved rest and will keep you eco-friendly (more tips and join the movement to be respectful the environment in www.ecofriendlymovement.com). Especially in these times of high gas prices TIMES …
Take a "staycation"
You says: "What the hell is a Staycation?" Well, it is simply a vacation where you stay home, do all the fun things you do not have time to
do while you are working or going to school, and I have fun doing the right thing at home or in your local area. Staycations are very environmentally friendly, because they are limiting the use of precious fuel by not traveling to a destination, their home is their destiny. You will also see Eco-tips mentioned in this article.
Well, you're ready for fun! These are the steps to follow:
As with any "traditional" holidays, it is necessary to plan and take some decisions before "embarking" on their journey. REMEMBER-The planning and anticipation of the journey is half the fun.
PLANNING AND PREPARATION OF PHASE:
Coordinate schedules
1. Deciding when to be available all
2. Who to invite (Other than immediate family), do not forget to ask Grandma, Grandpa or that favorite aunt to join you in your Staycation. Be sure to mention that this is a staycation and moments fun only … do not worry or problems discussed.
3. How long will your "trip" last?
4. Choose a coordinator Travel to the responsibility to determine from the family what activities / ideas they would most like to see happen during the staycation and this person is responsible for establishing Daily planned activities (see below). TIP: In our family Mom or Grandma is the coordinator.
The activities planned for each day staycation
5. Deepening the interests of each member staycation and how activities around that interest … turns with each member … This will also allow everyone to think of others and share each other's interests.
6. Sightseeing and go to their Chamber of Commerce or Convention and Visitors Bureau. Pick brochures, maps, or anything that will make you think about "short trips" in your area. You will be amazed the places you did not know, right on your own backyard. Do not forget to go online and learn about your town, city or state and see what you can see (No damage to fall into a few educational articles, together the fun … no one will notice the difference if done correctly).
7. Produce a schedule of planned activities at home since staycation (see Ideas below for activities). This will allow all members staycation know what will happen during the staycation. Remember no stress … if someone to suggest changes or have some other fun things to add to the list … that's what I want to see … PARTICIPATION!
8. Plan of downtime in the schedule. This is the time when everyone can do their own thing and hide it from their rooms, go online, napping or simply do nothing. All holidays require a certain amount of downtime. TIP: Remember to schedule this time, but if someone does not feel right, do not just let that stress has a little more. They will come around when they feel they are missing out on some laughs. Also remember that it's like a vacation, so I stay up late and late.
9. Planned activities are fun to create specifically targeted to members of your staycation. Here are some ideas that have been successful:
a. Museums, aquariums, historic sites, or any place of interest in your area. Most of these places are fun, free, and education. Do not forget even libraries can be fun places to visit. No matter how small the people can always find something to watch that's interesting.
b. Visit any national parks, state parks, urban parks, or even school ball fields. Leaving the best way to have fun and be healthy at the same time. It is a great place for a picnic, play ball, swimming, walking, walking and fishing or just read a book under a tree. Eco-Tip: Remember, do not pollute, and whatever you get, take home and have probably.
c. Visit your own backyard. You can have a lot of fun right in your own backyard. Have a cook- free to invite people over (remember that all members of the staycation invite a friend), cook staffs, tell ghost stories, making observational astronomy star, organize a treasure hunt, run a drive-in (air) film (you can put the blankets on the grass, put more of your TV / DVD air free family holiday event movie or pay-per-view, serve popcorn and let the fun begin.
d. Planting a tree in your garden have an opening ceremony, invite the neighbors (maybe go to the idea and wants to help the environment by planting your own tree). This is a big Eco-Tip!
e. Keep game night, every night. You can play cards, board games, build puzzles, riddles, interactive electronic games, night movies, scavenger hunts or you could go to a local gallery or cinema. This is one that tries to get everyone to participate, the more the better. TIP: Some families this type of activity at least once a week, even when there is a staycation.
f. Run a Talent Night, if your family is so inclined to be artists or have a special talent. This is a great way to have a lot of laughs (Remember that laughter is not to someone in person, haha!).
